Family Therapy

What is Family Therapy?

Families come in all shapes and sizes and each family faces their own unique sets of challenges and strengths.  Family therapy is a series of regular sessions over a finite period of time that focuses on the individual’s role within the family unit.  It is a process of validating the individual within the framework of the family unit to move from dysfunction to a more productive family environment built on authentic relationship and honest communication

At the first session, Shanna will guide families to develop and communicate their goals for therapy and then together structure a program that will work for the entire family to meet those goals.
